Web applications using Chromium can be tested. There is a goal to make it faster, more stable, and easier to use. The Chromium source code is identical to that of Chrome, but it has a different design and focus. It is available for Windows, MacOS, and Linux and is an extremely capable web browser. Google Chrome is built on the open source Chromium project. It is impossible to launch Chromium on Puppeteer if you do not enable EPEL or if you continue to install chromium as part of a Npm install while Puppeteer is not running. You can now start your tests with Chromium by using Puppeteer. Nightly (experimental support) also works. Node v8 is required for puppeteering core. Windows and Linux versions that use Microsoft Edge must be installed. When using Puppeteer API, a web page is created, it opens, and you can manipulate it by using the browser. With the puppeteer package, you can use Google Chrome to download and install it automatically. A special reunion will be held on Sunday, April 21, as well as a special event on Saturday, April 20. For example, to install Puppeteer v0.13.0, run: $ npm i įor example, Ubuntu could be the ideal environment for installing Puppeteer. To install Puppeteer, run: $ npm i puppeteer If you’re using Puppeteer with a project that requires Node.js v6, you should use a previous version of Puppeteer. Puppeteer requires at least Node v6.4.0, but the examples below use v8.0.0. Puppeteer runs headless by default, but can be configured to run full (non-headless) Chrome or Chromium. Puppeteer is a Node library which provides a high-level API to control Chrome or Chromium over the DevTools Protocol.
